One of my pet peeves is the way companies like Apple sometimes prefer beauty and ‘tidy’ layout over ease of use in their UI. I always have to Google how to use iMovie, for example. There’s just a big open blank canvas with no clue as to what you are supposed to do. Anyway – I was using Mailerlite this morning and this one caught me. How do I add fields to a form. Should be obvious right? It wasn’t really, in my opinion. I had to watch some documentation videos and they still didn’t clear up how you actually add the field once you’ve created it. Maybe I’m just really stupid/tired. Anyway here it is in case anyone missed it, which I did.
Add new field -> Go to Subscribers, then Fields. Add the field here
To add the field to the form you are building -> you go to the little Edit pencil above the input form and click this. This makes no sense to me but that’s what you do. I just guessed and that was it.
