Can you build me a website? What do I need?

• Indeed we can build a fast, attractive website for your project or business. But where do we start?
• We begin with an initial chat about what you are looking for. Is it possible? Are you looking for a straightforward website project, or something spicier that may require more web development and planning?
• Next, we would spec out and quote the job, or if we need more info, come back to you with some questions. We may also give you a questionnaire to begin if you are not too sure yourself.
• After that, we would need to gather your content together. This means you will provide some content to begin the site design. We can write this for you with a little direction, but this would incur an extra cost.
• At this stage, we will provide an initial design. We do not design whole sites anymore, rather we build sites in reusable blocks (generally) so we would provide an initial style to cover some priority areas.
• Are you selling products? This is the stage where we would get our product list together
• Are you changing from an old site platform to a new one? We would integrate redirects here.

What kind of technology do you use?

For many CMS solutions we will use WordPress with a custom theme. But we also work with Bolt CMS, Gatsby JS, Pico CMS and many others.

How long does it take?

That depends, but a general rule would be that it takes less time the more organised you are, and the more content you have ready. The clearer the idea, the less time it takes to figure out and design & build. A typical small business site would require roughly 3-6 weeks between the initial meeting and site going live, depending on size and how organizey you are.

Do you do eCommerce sites?

Yes we provide ecommerce sites this year in the form of Woocommerce, Shopify, or one of many integrated add-in solutions such as WordPress/Ecwids or Snipcart. These smaller solutions are a good way to add e-commerce functionality to an existing site without making your website explode, as they are self-contained and/or cloud-based.
